
It's with great sadness that we have lost Albert Edward Lewis, Jr, 81, of Ormond Beach, who went to be in the arms of Jesus on August 3, 2015, A Daytona Beach native and life long resident, Mr. Lewis was a graduate of the 1952 class of Mainland High School. He was the owner/operator of the Kingston Camera Store for over 42 years before retiring. In his younger years, he served in the National Guard, 148th Artillery based in Daytona. Albert was a devoted member of the board of directors for the Salvation Army for many years and a long time member of the First United Methodist Church. He loved music, composing and playing many instruments. He was the founder and director of the Daytona Beach Concert Band, which continues today. His other interests included photography and gardening. In lieu of other remembrances the family suggests donations be made to either the COPD Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association . Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Barbara Jean; 3 daughters, Vivian Boone (Tim), Orlando, FL, Melinda Timmons (John), Elton, VA and Judy Marstaller (Bob), Ormond Beach; 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Ed was such an unbelievable support of the Daytona Beach Concert Band. We were so glad to be able to play for him earlier in 2015 where he conducted the band one last time. Ed...we will all be thinking of you.
